„After cycling more than 1000 meters in altitude, far off from the ski lifts, I find a patch of Artemisia genipi. Picking the herb by hand is my version of meditation. It connects me to nature and reassures me that we are incorporating local and fresh ingredients into our products.“

Génépi: The green gold of the Alps – Tradition, delight, and craftsmanship
Harvesting Artemisia genipi is an annual ritual deeply rooted in the tradition of the Alpine regions, especially in Valais. Génépi, a collective term for several species of the Artemisia plant, grows in the high-altitude areas of the Alps and is known for its intense smell and aromatic properties. The plant blooms in July and August, precisely when the careful harvest begins.
„ At the foot of the north face of the Matterhorn, at over 2600 meters above sea level, I hand pick herbs with only my backpack and mountain bike in tow. On the way there, in the silence of the Alps, I lose myself in thoughts and find inspiration for new ideas. “ – Philipp Fuchs
